One of the great things about vinyl is that it is removable.
If you need to change your phone number or your entire business name, it's just a matter of peeling off the old vinyl and installing the new.
Although we offer vinyl removal services, some people find it more within their budget to remove it themselves. So to make things a little easier The Signdude has posted a few pointers on the fastest methods that use the least amount of elbow grease.

You're going to need a few things before you start though;

These two items will make life much easier when removing your old vinyl stickers.
Use the "Lil' Chizler" to get underneath that vinyl and scrape it off without scratching your paint job. It'll save your fingernails and we don't leave the shop without them.

Of course after your vinyl is all peeled off you're usually stuck with a sticky gooey mess still on your door.
That's what "Rapid Remover" is for. This stuff dissolves all that nasty glue and makes it wipe right off.
We've never seen anything work as well and best of all it's non-toxic!

Other Than that you'll also need a heat gun or a hairdryer.
I if things get really nasty you might need a straight edge scraper. Don't forget a roll of paper towels and some water, and you're ready to remove that vinyl!

The First Thing you're going to want to do is heat that vinyl up! This makes it less brittle and peel up much easier.
Give it some good blasts with your heat gun or hairdryer.

Once it's nice and loose, take your lil' chizler and start scraping.
If the vinyl isn't too old it should come up no problem and leave very little residue.
The older and crustier the vinyl the more stubborn it's going to be.

Just keep blasting and scraping, this is the most time consuming part of the process but keep working! It just takes a little elbow grease and time.

As was the case on this truck door, there might be quite a bit of glue left over.

This is where the Rapid Remover comes in, spray it evenly over the affected areas and let sit for about 60 seconds. The glue should be real slimy and bubbly by now.

Take your "Lil' Chizler" and start scraping the glue up into a paper towel. You probably won't get it all the first time around, so just spray the Rapid Remover on again and repeat.
After all the glue is off wash the surface real well with some alcohol or soap and water.
That's it!
